The
session 6 of the submit started
with the discussion mainly on governance
under the moderator K.V.Raju.the panel mainly included topics like multilevel governance
in environmental protection for mitigating climate change, sustainable natural
resources management in Bangladesh, impact of china’s development policies to
the Tibetan environment and role of policies in deployment of wind energy.
The next round of panel had a discussion on
urban inequality and sustainability by Stephen Zavestoski. The content under
this discussion included squinting at urban political ecology, gentrification, displacement,
social inequalities, urban socioeconomic and environmental conditions of hill
tracks in Bangladesh and garbage crisis in India.
The 3rd round highlighted mainly
on capital production and consumption of waste by the moderator Rajendra patil.the
topics covered were policy networks of green growth in Finland, comparative
assessment of biodegradable disposable plates from the user and environment perspective,
the effect of environmental crimes and bio sorption of dye from water using low
cost sustainable adsorbent.
The last discussion was on impacts of
technology on people’s lives and livelihoods by moderator Debaprashad Chatterjee which further included paper presentations on
mobile technology land policy and administration in Karnataka, effect of
fukushima daiichi disaster in India and finally the discussion on children in
the face of flood disasters in the Zambezi valley.in this way the 6th
panel of dissuasions was successfully completed.
