A view towards entrepreneurship
INTRODUCTION
On the auspicious
occasion of The Engineer’s Day, we got the opportunity to have Mr A. Din.
Pangotra in our institute ABV-IIITM, Gwalior. Mr Pangotra is the author of
entrepreneurial books “Masters Can Foresee” and “Human Resource Management with
Industrial Application”. He had been awarded by H.E Governor of Haryana, Dr
A.R. Kidwai for his efforts in management field and especially for his book
“Masters Can Foresee”. He also stated some recommendations for reforms in
education system. His objective is to enhance students and professionals
judgement skills so as to make them better leaders than followers. Team Uthaan
had an interview with Mr Pangotra.
THE INTERVIEW
Q:
Who according to you is an entrepreneur? How do you define
Entrepreneurship?
Ans: A person who has vision to
start a business and feel it comfortable to be in that stream must have an
unwavering passion, commitment and dedication towards his business. They must
have desire to be an expert, a forward looking approach and a constant flow of
ideas.
Q: What are the difficulties faced
by young entrepreneurs?
Ans: There are various difficulties
and various circumstances like overestimating success, negative thinking, poor
organization and lack of mental support. But you have to face the hardships and
build the confidence with working on the concept of “win-win”.
Q: Is money the only thing
important for a young entrepreneur?
Ans: Sometimes, for a young entrepreneur,
money plays an important role regarding initialization of his/her business. But
I suggest a young entrepreneur to focus on 3-S
(1)Structure
(2)Self sustenance
(3)Skills
Other than that, if you have good vision,
you will easily get funds through governmental as well as non-governmental
organizations.
Q: You are a HR manager by profession
but more than that you are an author. Which is your favourite one and why?
Ans: Imparting entrepreneurial
skills in youth and motivating them is more interesting than being a HR manager.
I enjoy arranging workshops, helping beginners and provide them a platform to
enhance their talent in this field.
Q: Who inspired you for this
profession?
Ans: Actually, my elder brother is
my role model. He is also an entrepreneur but more than that when I see poor children,
I feel the need to get them educated and imparting entrepreneurial skills in
them.
Q: How was your visit at ABV-IIITM?
Ans: It was quite good. I feel that
the environment here is good for the budding entrepreneurs. The students were
very keen and focused to learn new things. The campus is awesome. I expect many
successful entrepreneurs from the institute in future.
