Ques: How a student pursuing MBA from Commerce Stream differ from one of Science Stream?

Answer: I don't think there is hardly any difference when we are hiring a MBA. We don't look for the basic qualification rather we look for kind of attitude required for the organization. In the manufacturing field there is no difference but yes for centralized industry such as pharma industry a MBA with biological background will be preferable.

Ques:Anything you would like to say about your path of success?

Answer: "HARD WORK, HARD WORK & HARD WORK ". I don't know any other way of success. A person who says that success can be achieved through smart work, need to know that without hard work one cannot do smart work.Even to become smarter you have to do hard work.  You have to continuously upgrade your knowledge.

Ques: Any comment on politics inside an institute?

An interview with Mrs. Parul Chaturvedi, Assistant Manager HR at CitiXsys Technologies.

Ques: What are the best features of ABV-IIITM?

Answer: The people are very comfortable enough, they are very accommodating and the hospitality is awesome right from my last experience, since I was a part of this HR meet last year as well, and this time as well. I should say that hospitality given to us right from getting down the train and till finally seeing us off is just awesome.

Ques: Why you chose HR as a profession?

Answer: Because I am very interactive, I am very open, I am very extra worth and I love talking to people. I enjoy HR not as a profession but as a hobby.

Ques: If you are asked to recruit a particular person what matters for you, his degree, his marks, or his confidence?

Answer: It depends upon the position that I am hiring for, for example I am asked to hire a fresher. Fresher vs. Experienced are altogether different scenarios. Suppose a fresher comes and says to me that I need a job. My mind-set will be totally different for the person who is coming with good years of experience to me. Here I know that he has a theoretical and bookish knowledge. So I have to mold my questions and make him so comfortable the he should not feel that he is a fresher. I have to give him that kind of confidence that he is someone who knows everything, what my requirement is. Wherein if I’ve been asked to hire a person who has a good years of experience, then I will see a lot of things, you should have an in depth knowledge and practical knowledge, he should have worked on some projects that meets my requirements.

Ques: What are your strengths and weaknesses as an HR professional?

Answer: I am very talkative and very convincing. As a team player I am very cooperative and I am always ready to help people and at times I am very supportive. My weakness is that I am very open.

Ques: Your Message for ABV-IIITM’s future HR’s?

Answer: HR has to be very focused not only towards the goal and mission of the company but rather more focused towards how to read the psychology of the people, that’s very important. One has to be a very balanced person that can mold things in such a way that he can play safe and handle things very smartly.
