DAY 3 FN


The session 5 of the submit of the submit covered topics mainly on governance, science and technology and climate change. The topics highlighted under the moderator Pampa Mukherjee which included presentations on a heritage view of water in India, perspectives from ancient Hindu scriptures, governance of traditional water harvesting practices in the ‘commos’ and water harvesting.
Panel 2 of session5 included the following topics under the moderator Stephen Zavestoski:renewable energy uptake and potential, urban solid waste as source of renewable energy in India, renewable energy from biogas technology and lessons learned from the deployment of solar home in  rural India.
The next panel under the moderator Gaurav Agrawal focused on economics of climate change adaptation  and sustainable development, economics of climate change in Indian sundarbans,consumption smoothing and climatic extremes and genuine savings rates.
The last panel in this session included the following topics under the moderator Depali Singh: corporate social responsibility, environment sustainability initiatives in Indian business schools and future managers’ perspectives and governance of corporate environment and social responsibilities in India.
In the keynote by moderator Pankaj Upadhyay which included work by Mr. Avinash Mishra,Mr. Naveen Kumar Sharma,Mr.  Pranshu Singhal  and Ashok  Das  whose main  work was on sustainable energy for all.
