URJA 2014
A very awaited
fest of ABV_IIITM has just passed leaving behind some memorable moments for all
the students of our institute. URJA is a intra college sports fest of ABV_IITM.
It all began with a opening ceremony on 9th January in our sports complex.
Students wearing their house t-shirt cheering for their houses along with the
enthusiastic house captains holding their house flags.
The events of
urja included indoor games like badminton, table tennis, squash, carrom, chess,
snooker along with outdoor games like basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis,
cricket and football. Urja also included marathon, long distance races and
sprint races.
The vibrant
performances of students could be seen in each event and there was a nail biting
competition. There was nimble participation from first year which boosted the
charm of URJA. This sport fest continued for three days and came to an end with
a closing ceremony on 12th January. Students were glad to get the sweet fruits
as medals for the hard work they did during urja. Everyone was overjoyed owing
to the fest and the fest turned out to be huge success.
